Who's Ready to Grow their Own #Jewelry this #Christmas ???

Jewelry- It can now be grown!

What if you were told that the beautiful necklace around your neck was printed! You would surely be in the state of shock and surprise and probably tell me off calling a lunatic, but you would surely be intrigued about the new ways of manufacturing jewelry and jewelry displays.
In today’s technologically advanced world of manufacturing, the ways of production have positively evolved. This advancement has had its benefits and consequences that have been criticized over the years, mainly the downsizing of human resource in the production line. The manufacturers of jewelry, jewelry packing and jewelry stands face a similar challenge from now onwards. The invention of MLAB Machine that is basically a 3-D printer is now able to print the virtual jewelry designs from metal dust.

The positive outcome of this invention is that it is stable, fast and has almost zero wastage while producing the jewelry. It uses laser to melt and shoot the metal dust to the specific point and build the design particle by particle. The process looks to the naked eye as if the beautiful design is slowly growing and coming to life.
The downside of such production method would be eliminating the human emotion and craftsmanship from the equation. A jewelry designer is inspired by the exotic beauty of nature and attempts to transfer his imagination and understanding of the beauty into his work when he sits down to craft it. It would be very difficult to achieve this human emotion when producing jewelry in such manner.
The methods have not yet been implemented by all but many of the profit oriented manufacturers are bound to take advantage of this mass producing technology. Their selling point seems to be to make jewelry affordable as the discussed method has zero wastage and costs less to produce without the human hands involved.

Modem World Of Luxury Goods...

Appearance is equally important, if not more, to the quality behind it, when it comes to us making a purchase. Either it is a necessity product or a luxury good it follows the same phenomenon. Our minds work in such in-explainable ways that whatever looks good seems good to us. A bond of trust is instantly created that is hard to break.

Showcasing the art of jewelry making is no different. The beautiful jewelry requires exquisite aesthetics around it to feel proud and stand out. The jewelry displays in stores need to be critically designed as per the above phenomenon, so that they help the jewels shine even brighter in the buyer’s eyes and mind. This methodology has been in practice for many decades but for once it is now being challenged by the ever evolving technology. We see more and more virtual jewelry stores with latest trends and designs. We can make a purchase via our credit cards and wait for our glittering new accessory to be delivered at our doorstep. This might seem like a terrific idea, but is it the same as being in a jewelry store, surrounded by all that beautiful artwork and able to try the design you like right off that jewelry stand?

One should only and usually does, buys a jewelry product when s/he can feel bold and look beautiful wearing it. The high resolution pictures on the internet do bring the artwork closer to our eyes but the important part of wearing it and looking your own self in the mirror is not possible. Therefore the question here is regarding our preference to the ease of access to information or to stand out looking ‘de toute beauté’.

Knock Knock... It's the #Future of Endless Possibilities!!!

As the title for this post suggests, the world around us is not the same as we knew it when we were young. It has gone through quite a few drastic changes over the past few decades. The change I am talking about is how #technology has literally seeped into our blood stream and has become a part of our living hood.

As of now I provide consultancy to a company regarding jewelry countertop display products, jewelry packing, and boxes but I believe that #technology has become an integral part of our social and professional life. May it be gaining information (such as this blog, hopefully), exploring trends, shopping for personal use or using some B2B portal for expansion of business. All these and many of the activities are only tied together with the help of ever evolving technology. Google has taken the entertainment, especially the gaming community to a whole new level of interaction with the augmented world. The very idea of being physically inside a game has lead to many science fiction movies, tv series and books but this time Google has made it possible in a very realistic way.

#Ingress is the new reality augmented game that has been launched by the big G and Niantic Labs for the android device users. Everything that surrounds you, is part of the game. Your family, your room, your street, even your favorite hangout spot! This time We really are the Players and This Our World, is the limited area to play in.

I have been able to test the game to some extent, unfortunately my current residing area does not allow me to roam around with my tablet on the streets. Yet I have been able to get the flavor of the beautiful leap taken by the developers here, and I am more than impressed. I still have to get hold of the whole idea of hacking portals and saving the world in this game but I already love it and can't wait to explore it!
All those who have tried the game, Happy Hacking... While the rest, Put your TRON Suits on!!!
